In 1994, they made an appearance on the song “Set it Off” by Main Source and later changed their name to the Warlox. Mary J. Blige passed their demo tape to Sean Combs, who signed them to Bad Boy Records and changed their name to the Lox.

The Lox’s first single, “Well, Well, Well,” was released in 1996 and their tribute to the late Notorious B.I.G., “We’ll Always Love Big Poppa,” brought them national attention. Their debut album, “Money, Power & Respect,” was a commercial success and their second album, “We Are the Streets,” launched successful singles “Wild Out” and “Ryde or Die, Bitch.” After a long break, the Lox released their debut EP, “The Trinity,” in 2014, followed by their third studio album, “Filthy America… It’s Beautiful,” in 2016 and “Living Off Xperience” in 2020.
