Rob Corddry was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts in 1971. He grew up with his mother, father, and younger brother Nate, who is also an actor. The brothers were both Eagle Scouts and attended Weymouth North High School. Corddry went on to study English and drama at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity and appeared in plays. After graduating in 1993, he moved to New York City and worked as a security guard at the Metropolitan Museum of Art before beginning his acting career.
