On Friday, July 6, 2018, in the late evening at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, the angel of death slipped into our midst and took the soul of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. Raymond E. Wiggins, Sr. (Joe/Biggie) was born February 2, 1936 in Martin County, North Carolina to the late Lee and Viola Wiggins. He met and married Kathleen Battle Wiggins (deceased).
He leaves to cherish his memory 3 sons- Raymond Wiggins, Jr.(Rokel), Alvin Wiggins, and Paul Elliot of Maryland; 1 daughter-Candace Elliott of Portsmouth; 7 grandchildren, 3 great- grandchildren, 5 sisters-Leola Veale, Dorothy Dickens, Marjorie Thompson, Shirlene Banks and Diann Pittman; 3 brothers-James Wiggins(Joyce), Lanxcene Wiggins(Carolyn), and Reginald Wiggins(Leslie), and a host of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by 1 brother, Lester Wiggins.
