Personal Statement

As a child, I never thought that picking up a field hockey stick in 3rd grade would change my life completely. From that moment on, I have fallen in love with the game and hope to continue my career at the collegiate level. I am extremely passionate about field hockey, and aim to be a fantastic player as well as a great team mate. I definitely feel that I have the determination and skill to provide a positive impact on a college field hockey team.

Outside of school and off the field, I am a new member of Leo Club and the Environmental Club. I also participate in road-side cleanups frequently, and sometimes will volunteer at a animal shelter near by. I enjoy helping my community and environment by doing as much as I possibly can.

During my freshman year of highschool, I made the varsity field hockey team and started a select few games. I have competed in national tournaments such as limelight in the past, and hope to do so again. I have been nominated for the USA Futures program twice from a camp at East Stroudsburg University. Currently, I play for Cosmic Storm and a small club team called Flames. I have gained so much love for field hockey over numerous years and would love to be part of a college program that will challenge me both academically and athletically.
