AC Milan drop into Europa League
AC Milan are now 9/1 third favourites to win the Europa League after dropping into the competition from the Champions League and drawing Rennes in the play-offs.
The seven-times European champions are behind only 11/5 favourites Liverpool and Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen (6/1) in the betting. Both those sides won their groups and sidestep this stage to qualify automatically for the round of 16.
The play-offs feature the eight Europa League group-stage runners-up and eight teams who, as Milan did, finished third in their Champions League groups.
English clubs Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United topped their groups and are 14/1 and 16/1 respectively to go all the way.
Lens are 16/1 and play Freiburg in the play-off round, Roma are the same price and face Feyenoord in a repeat of the 2021 Europa Conference League final, while Benfica are 20/1 and play Toulouse.
