Core Physical Therapy, a brand-new outpatient orthopedic clinic in Blacksburg is now open for business. Brenda Miller PT, MPT, OCS, CLT, CMTPT, owner and founder of the company had a vision to “build a low volume clinic providing the care people deserve”.
After working in various physical therapy clinics with high patient volume and low patient-therapist continuity, Brenda envisioned a better approach. She wanted to follow her patients from start to finish providing the best care possible reaching the mutually desired goals.
Brenda finally had the opportunity and decided it was time to start her own clinic and Core Physical Therapy was launched. The name is relevant as “Core” symbolizes both getting to the “core or root” of the problem as well as good “core” or foundation to health.
With nearly 30 years of experience, Brenda brings a wealth of knowledge and education. She is board certified in orthopedics and certified in dry needling. As a former volleyball and Division I basketball player, she has an avid interest in helping athletes with prevention and post injury care. She treats all orthopedic conditions from head to toe, with a special interest in the running and CrossFit population. Additionally, Brenda treats those with vestibular/dizziness and balance problems, lymphedema due to cancer and post-surgical patients. She welcomes patients of all ages and has a soft spot for those in their golden years.
