Personal Statement
Earning a spot on the varsity football team my freshman year and being named the class of 2020 Freshman Athlete of the Year helped me see the level I could play at in the future. I am a three year varsity captain and earned first team all league honors. I am very proud of these achievements but I am more interested in what I have yet to achieve. I am excited about what the future holds and where I will be able to prove that I am hard working and dedicated.
As a freshman and sophomore, I also played varsity volleyball for one of the nations top high school teams and played club volleyball for the 2018 national champions (SCVC) in my age division. I am now focusing on football as volleyball did not allow me to attend Spring football camps and interfered with many football team activities.
This season I have the honor to be on the Brotherhood council. This is a team leadership group of varsity players who act as player advocates that work directly with the coaches on team issues and decisions.
I have been able to balance my high academic standards and multiple sports throughout high school. Starting my Senior year, I look forward to playing hard and leaving RUHS with pride. Being a collegiate student-athlete is my next goal and I am looking forward to the opportunity to make an impact on a college program.
