Personal Statement

I was diagnosed with asthma at a young age, making playing sports very hard. I've wanted to since I was around 4 or 5, but until recently, I haven't had control over my asthma. But going into high school, it has gotten much better and easier to control because I'm taking shots for it now, which helps a ton. I knew I wanted to play but didn't know if I'd ever get a chance to do so, so when I did, I took it up and tried out for my high school football team. And truth be told, I made it, and as a kid who never actually made a sports team and struggled with breathing problems, I made the Junior varsity high school team. I didn't start but was still happy because I got plenty of reps on the field at WR and CB, primarily CB. But this is a dream of mine to play at a collegiate level and maybe someday in the NFL. On a side note, as for my GPA, I know it looks terrible, but I'm on track for a better one with the honors classes I'm taking because I fooled around my first year, and I regret not taking it seriously.
